Surf Reels

Alvey Side Cast Reels for surf casting are designed to withstand the damaging effects of saltwater and sand which can ruin your day and shortens the life of other type reels. The large spool diameter allows the line to come off faster with little friction for long casting distances. The 1:1 retrieve ratio (except for the 650GRBC) gives you the maximum power when fighting a fish. Good retrieve rates are maintained with the large spool diameter.

The reels listed below are designed to be used with 10 foot and longer rods that have a short butt grip for better balance. The reel is behind your hands when you cast. All models listed have a large diameter multi-disc drag system, spool tension adjustment, free spool / anti-reverse selector and fish alert ratchet clicker.
